NEW DELHI, Mar 1:
Saurabh Chandra today assumed charge as Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. He succeeds Vivek Rae, who demitted office on superannuation yesterday.
Mr Chandra, an officer of the Indian Administrative Service, 1978 batch of the UP cadre, was earlier Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.
He is a Graduate in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and holds a Diploma in Management. (UNI)
