JAMMU, May 1: Superb 6-wicket haul by Satish Kumar and brilliant 61 runs by Musaif Ajaz guided Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) Srinagar to 4-wicket win over Tawi Sports Club to seal berth in the semifinals of the ongoing 5th Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, Tawi Sports Club scored a modest total of 123 runs in the allotted overs. Aryan Chopra top scored with 36 runs, while Ankush and Sourav Chopra contributed 17 and 15 runs to the total respectively. Satish Kumar was the wrecker-in-chief for RCC Srinagar, who took 6 important wickets in his 4 overs, while Nitin bagged 2 wickets. Dilbag Singh and Sachin Sharma claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, RCC chased the target in 19 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Musaif Ajaz top scored with 61 off 45 balls, while skipper Puneet Wattal contributed valuable 25 runs to the total. Satish Kumar chipped in with 10 runs, while Praful Dhar remained unbeaten on 7 runs. Anchal Singh and Muneeb Munaf took 2 wickets each, while Sourav Chopra and Sachin Singh claimed one wicket each. Satish Kumar was adjudged as man of the match for his magnificent bowling display.
The match was officiated by Ashok Singh, Vinod Kandyara and Shiv Kumar.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Road Safety XI will take on NMCC at 1:30 pm.
