JAMMU, Aug 23: Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) started construction works of lane and drain at Mana Basti area of Ward 18. Sharma was accompanied by a large number of people including Corporator Ward 18, Dinesh Gupta, State spokesperson BJP and president, Bar Association, Adv Abhinav Sharma, State secretary, BJP and Incharge Jammu West, Praduman Singh, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) officials, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be constructed under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs seven lakh approximately and the funds were sanctioned from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) of former MLA which was sanctioned during his tenure and construction was delayed due to Code of Conduct of elections and other reasons. But the work was taken up as soon as the process got cleared.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that Jammu West has progressed a lot towards development and in nearly last five years, the infrastructural development pertaining to roads, setting up of new transformers, replacing old water pipes with fresh ones, construction of community halls, up gradation works of cremation grounds, construction of lanes and drains and other works were kept on priority in all 26 wards of Jammu West and it is the result of same that crores of rupees were spent in each and every ward of Assembly Segment which has led to a big change towards modernization of Constituency in every aspect.
Dinesh Gupta stated that majority lanes and by lanes in the Ward have been constructed and macadamized with the efforts of former MLA and there are many works which will be started in coming days which were sanctioned through the initiatives of former MLA so that people are provided with best possible infra.
Abhinav Sharma and Praduman Singh said that the construction of lane was a long pending demand which has been met today with the efforts of former MLA and he also stated that BJP is committed to welfare of masses and believes on the agenda of “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas”.
AEE, JMC , Ashok Sharma, JE SK Bhat, Supervisor Bunty Bhatti, district general secretary, BJP Sanjeev Sharma, Sangeeta Gupta, Bhagwan Das, Ashok Gandhi, Kailash (Karan), Reetiz Khajuria, Munish Raja, Pyare Lal Tickoo, Narinder, Achal Sharma, Raja Chib, Sunita Arora and several others were also present.
