JAMMU, Oct 31: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir president and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Sat Sharma (CA), conducted a series of election strategy meetings in connection with the upcoming Nagrota Assembly by-election.
Accompanied by senior party leaders, Sharma visited village Kalorma of Panchayat Seri, where he met prominent citizens and a large gathering of women, and discussed in detail the election preparations and booth-level strategies with local party workers.
Later, Sharma also visited Seri Pandita, Ranjan, and adjoining villages, holding interactions with the residents and seeking feedback on local development issues.
Addressing the gatherings, Sat Sharma asserted that the Modi Government has worked tirelessly for the welfare of all sections of society without any regional or community-based bias, implementing schemes that uplift every segment, be it urban, rural, or remote.
Sharma, who also canvassed in a remote village inhabited predominantly by the Gujjar community, highlighted how Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s leadership has ensured inclusive development across regions and communities.
Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Rajni Sethi exuded confidence that party candidate, Devyani Rana the daughter of popular leader and former MLA of Nagrota Late Devender Singh Rana will win the election with a huge margin as people of the constituency have resolved to vote for her enmass.
Addressing an election meeting she said the Nagrota Assembly constituency holds special significance. This seat was earlier represented by Late Devender Singh Rana. He was known for his dedicated service, honesty, and connection with the people.
She said Devyani represents the spirit of Nari Shakti (women empowerment) – a cause that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has consistently championed. Her candidacy reflects BJP’s commitment to promoting capable youth and empowering women to take leadership roles in governance and public service.
