JAMMU, Nov 21: Former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) accompanied by JMC corporator, Neelam Nargotra Ward 40 and Jammu Smart City Engineers, Director Technical, Sham Lal Kapoor, G.M. Civil, Harvinder Singh and concerned AEE Ravi Salgotra, BJP leaders Ayodhya Gupta, Keshav Chopra, Dr Pradeep Mahotra and others conducted extensive tour of Talab Tillo area to see the progress of the ongoing work under the Jammu Smart City Project.
The execution of the EPC contract for complete street development, Canal Road Talab Tillo, Jammu from Jewel Chowk to Patta Bohri Chowk in a length of about four kms has been sanctioned under the Jammu Smart City Project at an estimated cost of Rs. 19.50 cr.
The main component of this project is the road improvement in four km length, road widening work from Talli Sahib Gurudwara to Talab Tillo Chowk in a length of 1 km, construction of minor drains in length of 3.4 kms and allied works. The project also includes development of existing green spaces along the canal adjoining Talab Tillo road besides providing various amenities viz. steel benches, dustbins etc.
Sharma had detailed interaction with the local people and prominent citizens of the area so as to know their feedback regarding the execution of works including quality control measures for the works. Sharma told the people that this project on completion shall address the drainage issues of the Talab Tillo area to a large extent besides improvement in traffic movement in the congested area from Rama Lane Gurudwara to Talab Tillo Chowk.
Sharma also stated that under the leadership of PM Modi Jammu is witnessing major projects under Smart City and the same will continue in order to provide best possible infra to the masses.
Neelam expressed satisfaction over the progress of works and the quality being maintained in the Smart City projects and appreciated the efforts of Smart City authorities.
Rakesh Mahajan, Abhishek Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Lovekesh Gondi, Rahul Nargotra, Lovely Saini, Sachin, Ashok Singh, Hem Raj, Yash Pal Shivgotra, Nitish Tipu, Vinay Chetan, Karan Kenzo, Verma, Pradeep Mahajan, Sonali and several others were also present.
