Sat, Rajesh visit yatra base camp, interact with yatris

JAMMU, July 15:  BJP State president & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A.) accompanied by Jammu East MLA, Rajesh Gupta and other prominent party functionaries along with officers from the administration, today visited the Shri Amarnath Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar, here and other places which are presently frequented by the Yatris.
The BJP leaders interacted with the yatris and inspected the Bhawan’s infrastructure and facilities being made available to them. They also took the stock of the arrangements made by the administration for the Yatris’ comfort and yatra. Sat Sharma and Rajesh Gupta urged the authorities to ensure that portable water, health and other facilities are made available to the yatris round the clock.
Sat Sharma informed the pilgrims that the Yatra has to be temporarily suspended on account of rains and National Highway road closure and the same will be restarted at the earliest. He also assured that more than adequate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure their safety and well being. He informed them that all peace loving citizens of the State, whether in Jammu region or in Kashmir Valley, are always ready to render help and assistance to the yatris as this being the tradition in the entire State.
He said the Government has taken all adequate steps that the yatris are not put to any inconvenience and hardship on account of their getting stranded on National Highway due to sudden closure of the road.  Hence, the yatra is regulated and meticulously supervised to avoid discomfort to them. He said that the Government and the people make every effort for the comfort and well being of the yatris. This is done to ensure that every yatri after his yatra is over, reaches home, carries with him positive and affectionate impression about the entire State. “We make every effort that these yatris become our goodwill ambassadors in their areas and the states” he added.
Rajesh Gupta, while addressing the yatris, said that BJP has put its entire party machinery in helping and assisting the yatris. He further said that BJP has also established a 24×7 helpline for the use and convenience of the yatris. Every BJP activist is committed for the success of the Shri Amarnath Yatra and are putting in every effort to attain that aim adding that care and help to the last man in the row has to be extended.
Besides, ACD Arun Manhas, Yatra Incharge SP G.L. Sharma, BJP leaders including Ayodhya Gupta, Parneesh Mahajan, Ramesh Sharma, Prof. Sham Gupta, Kuldeep Kandhari, Rajesh, Ramesh Sharma, Mnumanav Mahajan, Puneet Mahajan, Keshav Chopra, Deepak Kumar, Raj Kumar, Dr. Dineshwar Sharma accompanied Sat Sharma.
