Sat asks PDD to ensure 24×7 power supply

JAMMU, June 28: Former Minister and State president BJP Sat Sharma today asked the Power Development Department (PDD) to ensure 24×7 power supply in all 26 wards of Jammu West Assembly Segment.
Sat said this while touring wards 24 and 29 of Jammu West where he took stock of problems being faced by thousands of inhabitants. Sharma was accompanied by district president Munish Khajuria, Mandal presidents Raveesh Mengi and Keshav Chopra, district general secretaries Advocate Rajesh Gupta and Advocate Karan Sharma and Mahila Morcha general secretary Urvashi Gupta.
Executive Engineer PDD Neeraj Sharma along with his staff including JE Sanjeev Hans was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the area adjoining lower Green Enclave of Rehari Colony and Lane number 29 (Mandir Gali) of Rajpura are facing a major problem of electricity and from many days the problem of low voltage and frequent power cuts was persisting in the areas.
Sat said he spoke to Advisor Baseer Khan who also holds the charge of PDD and Chief Engineer PDD Gurmeet Singh as well to look into the grievances of the public for which both have assured that the problem will be solved as soon as possible and whatever required will be done to overcome the problem being faced by the masses.
Munish Khajuria stated that due to the efforts of former MLA Jammu West, maximum areas in all 26 wards have been provided with all essential infra at their doorsteps and few areas where the problem persists will be solved in coming days in order to avoid public distress.
