Saroori takes stock of tourist infrastructure projects

KISHTWAR, Oct 20: Senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said that various proactive measures have been taken up to explore the immense tourism potential in far off areas in the Inderwal constituency.
He called upon the concerned authorities to work with dedication to ensure the execution of ongoing projects well in time. Saroori who today visited tehsil Kahra of district Doda, to take on spot stock of the under execution road and tourism projects being carried out in the area.
While inspecting Rs 7.83 crore for developing Bhaderwah-Thathri-Bhalesa tourist circuit, he inspected under construction Tourist Reception Centers at Kahra and informed that under the project, another TRC would be constructed at Thathri besides construction of way side amenities, parks, viewing decks and public conveniences. He stressed upon the concerned executing agency that the project should be completed within stipulated time frame.
He also inspected bridges being constructed on Khara-Tanta road which is under construction by PMGSY at the cost of 13 crores. He directed Superintending Engineer PWD (R&B) Doda, to start the black topping on Kahra-Jai road and also complete the 2nd abatement work on bridge Goila-Trankhel road at an earliest.
Saroori also visited the medical camp at Kahra which was sponsored by Ghulam Nabi Azad. He interacted with the patients, local people, Congress leaders, Youth Congress members, Panchs and Sarpanchs of the area. He underscored the need for organising more such camps in remote and hilly area for ensuring maximum benefits to the people by this type of health care facilities.
