CHHATROO, May 2: During the hectic tour of his constituency, Member Legislative Assembly from Inderwal, G M Saroori inaugurated Kuchal-Simbole phase- II link road in Mugal Maidan area of Kishtwar today.
The road inaugurated by the MLA has been constructed by the PMGSY Division Chhatroo, with the cost of Rs 4 crore, having total length of 7 kms. This will provide transport facilities to 3000 souls of the Kuchal village of sub-division Chhatroo.
Addressing the public meetings at Kuchal, Sheikhpura, Basha, Thal Kwath and Simbole today, Saroori said that road link to Kuchal is benefitting the people of this area, adding these people were confronting multiple hardships due to inadequate road communication but at present after completion of this prestigious project people won’t face any hardship. Saroori said that only Congress Govt is committed to provide all basic amenities like health care, road connectivity to far-flung areas, up-gradation of schools, recruitment of staff to various Government schools and other basic necessities.
The main demands raised by the locals included clearance of slips from link roads, repair of lanes, drains, replacing of damaged electric poles, installation of 65 KV transformer, distribution of adequate ration, installation of hand pumps, payment to job card holders under MGNREGA and others.
Many issues were solved by the MLA on the spot by directing the concerned officers to redress the problems immediately.
At Gurinal, the MLA said that he is committed for socio-economic empowerment of the people especially those living in hilly, remote and far-flung areas and highlighted the benefits of various development and welfare schemes launches in the area. Mr Saroori also visited the residence of party leader Chowdhary Abdul Gani and expressed his condolences on the sad demise of his father.
