JAMMU, Feb 20: Talented all-rounder, Sarla Devi has been picked in the North Zone squad for the Inter-Zonal One-Day Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at Kolkata in West Bengal.
The ambidextrous all-rounder, who bowls with left-arm and is a right-handed batswoman is already with the Senior North Zone team at the venue as the Tournament had begun from February 18, 2015.
Miss Sarla is the only player from the State of Jammu and Kashmir, who has been selected to represent her Zone in this prestigious Tournament.
She got the BCCI selectors nod for her all-round ability, especially for scalping 8 important wickets with her seam bowling and valuable runs at crucial juncture in the One-Day matches while representing Jammu and Kashmir.
The slim and trim cricketer is the student of SAI cricket coach, Veena Sharma and trains at MA Stadium in Jammu.
