JAMMU, July 24: Welfare Committee Saraswati Vihar, Patoli Brahmana in its meeting today held elections for the Committee and Avtar Krishan Dhar was elected a sits new president.
He defeated M S Salathia former president by a margin of four votes. A K Dhar got 25 votes while Mr Salathia got 21 votes out of total 46 votes cast.
After his election as president of the Committee Mr Dhar assured that he will leave no stone unturned in working for the development and welfare of the people of the Colony.
The outgoing president Mr Salathia, M L Bhat, Gopi Nath, Kulraj Singh, Sameer Bhat and others also addressed the meeting.
