JAMMU, Mar 12: Saral Manak Sanskrit Workshop was organized today under the joint aegis of Central Sanskrit University, Sri Ranbir Campus, Jammu; Indian Language Committee, Ministry of Education, Government of India; and MAM College, Jammu.
In this workshop, eminent scholars from literature and Sanskrit from different places of Jaipur and Jammu, discussed in detail the teaching and learning of Sanskrit in an easy way.
Campus Director Prof Shreedhar Mishra discussed objectives of the workshop in detail and said that in the Saral Manak Sanskrit Workshop, the participants will be able to know various simple forms of Sanskrit. He said that Sanskrit is the most suitable language for computers. If any student is curious and wants to learn to speak Sanskrit, then our teachers and students can teach him to speak and write Sanskrit in 15-day conversation camp, he said.
Chief guest of the program, Regional Director of IGNOU, Dr Jaiprakash Verma said that Sanskrit language is helpful in human welfare and development.
Special guest, Principal of MAM College, Prof B B Anand said that the knowledge base of our country is in Sanskrit.
Jagadguru Ramanandacharcha, Dr Diwakar Mishra of the Department of Education, Rajasthan Sanskrit University, while discussing the form of simple standard Sanskrit in his keynote speech, said that by making the teaching style in the classes interesting and comprehensible, we can make the subject more understandable. He also highlighted many important points of Saral Manak Sanskritam.
In the second session, the practice of simple Sanskrit conversation was discussed by Dr Praveen Mani Tripathi. In the third session, Dr Khem Narayan Regmi gave examples of simple sentences to the audience and explained the tricks of learning Sanskrit easily. In the concluding session, certificates were distributed by the guests to all the 150 registered participants.
Sanskrit teachers, researchers and students of Government colleges of Jammu were present in the workshop. The stage was moderated by Dr Khem Narayan Regmi. On this occasion, IQAC coordinator of MAM College, Dr Neeraj, Dr Sunil Uppal, Dr Yogendra Dixit, Dr Ashish Kumar, Kamal Kishore, Dr Kamaljeet and Dr Nazia Chaudhary were also present. Technical support was provided by Tirupati Bala and Manoj Abrol. Dr Purushottam Dash extended the vote of thanks.
