JAMMU, Mar 2: Sant Nirankari Mission’s Branch Muthi Rakwalan today organised a voluntary blood donation camp at Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Muthi Rakwalan.
Devotees from Branch Hariachak, Dayalachak and Marheen also participated in the camp. A total of 122 Units of blood were donated in this camp and the camp was inaugurated by Rajeev Jasrotia, MLA Jasrota.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said for blood donation, Sant Nirankari Mission always remained at forefront by organizing blood donation camps across the country ensuring that no life is lost due to the shortage of blood.
“This is a big contribution for the society and I wholeheartedly congratulate the Mission for its dedicated efforts,” he maintained.
Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge of the Mission at Jammu said: “blood donation is one of the greatest acts of service to mankind. It knows no boundaries of caste, religion or status but strengthens the bonds of humanity.”
Tarsem Lal, Mukhi Muthi Rakwalan welcomed the chief guest and donors.
Others present on the occasion were Dr. Surnider Attri, Principal GMC Kathua; Dr. Sonia, Incharge Blood Bank GMC Kathua; Dr. Zulfikar Ahmad, Consultant; Dr. Ifa from Blood Bank GMC Jammu; Babu Ram, Sanyojak Kathua and Sat Pal, Nirankari Kshetriya Sanchalak Kathua.
The camp was held in collaboration with Blood & Transfusion Deptt of Govt Medical College Jammu, Govt Medical College Kathua, Sub-District Hospital Nagri and JKSACS.
