Sanskrit scholars apprise MoS Education of their demands, suggestions

JAMMU, Apr 6: A delegation of Sanskrit scholars called on Minister of State, Priya Sethi and put forward various issues and problem associated with Sanskrit language in Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation demanded due share of Sanskrit Scholars in employment opportunities and special Bill in Assembly regarding Sanskrit language to be made compulsory from 1st standard in all schools under JKBOSE so that the young generation is made aware of our rich cultural heritage and students learn about Sanskrit language from their childhood besides adopting it as a regular course in their studies.
The Minister assured the delegation that she would take up their demands and suggestions before the State and Central Governments.
The delegation comprised of Mahant Rohit Shastri, BJP leader Pt Vippen Shastri, Dr Varun Padha, Sahil Seth and others.
