JAMMU, Nov 29: Sanskrit Market was inaugurated at Anaj Mandi Ware House-Nehru Market here today by the students of Central Sanskrit University Shri Ranbir Campus Kot Bhalwal in collaboration with Ware House Traders Association.
The list of goods in the Warehouse were arranged in Sanskrit and the goods were sold using Sanskrit as a medium of communication with the customers and the bills were also made and issued in Sanskrit.
The programme was inaugurated by former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma; DIG Shakti Pathak, Chief Trustee of Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan; K.K Sharma, Agriculture Director Jammu; Munish Sharma and Y.V Sharma-both BJP leaders.
Deepak Gupta, president of Anaj Mandi Ware House-Nehru Market said that this programme is being organized under the birth centenary celebrations of Late Dr. Uttamchand Shastri Pathak, scholar of Devvani Sanskrit with the joints efforts of Ware House-Nehru Market Jammu, Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan Basholi, Shrikailakh Jyotish and Vedic Institute Trust, Central Sanskrit University, Sri Ranbir Campus Jammu Kashmir and Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.
Sham Lal Sharma said that Late Dr. Uttam Chand Shastri Pathak Ji and his family have made invaluable contributions in the promotion and development of Sanskrit language in India.
Shakti Pathak said that it is necessary that Sanskrit should reach masses so that the glorious culture of India can be spread further.
Mahant Rohit Shastri, president Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sanathan Trust also spoke on the occasion.
On this occasion, Prof. Madan Mohan Jha, Director, Central Sanskrit University, Sri Ranbir Campus, Jammu, said that this innovation has been done by the University for acceptance of Sanskrit among masses. Along with this, Sanskrit language speaking is also being organized by the University from November 30 in the office of Anaj Mandi Ware House-Nehru Market Jammu from 4 pm to 5 pm.
On this occasion Munish Gupta, Uttam Chand Sharma, Abhimanyu Gupta, Sham Langar, Vishal Gupta, Prabodh Sharma, Amit Gupta, Pawan Khajuria, Ashwani Sharma, Narottam Sharma, Dr. Rishiraj, Dr. D. Dayanath, Dr. Yogendra Dixit, Dr. Anoop Pandey, Dr. Pramod Shukla, Dr. Yashwant Trivedi, Maninder Singh, Rajeshwar Shastri, Somil Abrol and others were also present.
