Sanjay Baru calls on CE PMGSY, discusses compensation issue

JAMMU, Mar 12: Sanjay Kumar Baru, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader met Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) Chief Engineer, Rajan Mengi at his office here, today and discussed various PMGSY road issues of tehsil Pouni in district Reasi with him.
Sanjay Baru, while expressing his concern on the road infrastructure with the Chief Engineer said that earlier the former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee took substantial steps to improve the road connectivity and condition and started Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna(PMGSY) for the improvement of rural roads. He said that now the Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi is ensuring that the work is finished properly serving its purpose to improve basic facilities in the rural areas so as to reduce the ‘rural to urban migration’ trend.
“BJP Government is committed to transform our rural roads taking them to the number one spot in the world”, Baru said.
During the meeting, BJP leader handed over the land acquisition papers of ‘Dadar Mod to Kalah’, ‘Kotla to Chinar Sangan’, ‘Gran to Sukhal Ghati’ and ‘Kund to Kund Kanaharhi’ in district Reasi to CE. He urged that the compensation of various PMGSY roads is long pending and appealed him that immediately necessary steps must be taken to provide compensation of different roads especially where roads have been constructed and even blacktopped since long so that the beneficiaries may get relief for their lands and structures.
Rajan Mengi directed concerned authorities to look into the matter for early disposal of the matter.
