Sangharsh activists project civic issues

RAJOURI, Nov 9: The activists of Sangharsh- a civic movement for justice, equality, peace, prosperity and brotherhood took up various civil related issues with the Executive Officer, Municipal Office Rajouri.
They also submitted a 13- points memorandum to the EO with regard to movement launched by the organization to realize the real spirit of `Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the town.
The movement expressed grave concern on the issue related to acute shortage of street lights in Municipal territory of Rajouri and said that nothing concrete  has been done in this regard for the last many years. They said toilets and urinals are lying defunct, even in the nodal places like near Tehsil office, bus stand, Administrative zone and different vital offices/ locations they are in worst condition. No such facility has been created for the women community.
They said lot of Municipal land  has been encroached upon. No new installation of fixed dustbins across town has been witnessed. There is no proper disposal of waste/garbage. Development of lanes and streets is awaited since long.
Prominent among those included Shoket Ali, Israr Mirza, Hemakant Sharma, Farooq Lone, Yusuf Bhat, Mintu Bhatt, Raju Gupta, Anil Gupta, Ankush Gupta, Jeet Kumar, Parbhat Bali, Sushant  Kumar, Sachin Khuller and Rakesh Sharma.
The EO Rajouri, Manzoor Lone gave patient hearing to the activists of the Movement and assured to resolve all such issues within his jurisdiction.
