JAMMU, Dec 23: A delegation of Sangarsh RTI Movement led by its Convener Balvinder Singh, who is also the State Co-ordinator Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) called on Sangeeta Gupta, Principal Commissioner Income Tax J&K.
Sharanjit Singh, Ravi Razdan, Manmohan Singh and Mahesh Singh Kotwal were also the part of the delegation. The delegation apprised the Commissioner about the working of Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR).
Singh submitted the detail of the assets comparison of 45 re-contesting MLA’s in the Jammu and Kashmir 2014 Assembly election and urged upon the Principal Commissioner Income Tax Jammu to scrutinize the assets increase of MLAs which has increased many fold in their six years term, by applying the same yard stick as has been applied to a common man.
Sangeeta Gupta, Principal Commissioner Income Tax J&K assured the delegation that though their department scrutinizes the affidavits of the contesting candidates as a routine matter but now will definitely scrutinize the analysis submitted by the State Co-ordinator of ADR.
She further said that from now onwards his department will definitely try to make maximum use of the analyses made by Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).
