JAMMU, Dec 30: Expressing its gave concern over the mass copying in the recently conducted tests for graduation level posts by J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB), the Jammu University unit of Sangarsh- a civic movement for justice, equality, peace, prosperity and brotherhood, today demanded white paper from JKSSB over the whole scam.
Addressing a press conference, secretary of the university unit, Sohail Shahzad criticized the high officials of JKSSB in conducting free and fair examination. He said that due to the acute failure of the concerned authorities the future of the young minds of the State is in dark and they are feeling cheated after the months long hard work.
He further said added that it seems that JKSSB has made a mockery of the educated youth of the State just to give berths to their near and dear ones in some selected departments as till date no action has been taken by the high officials against the persons involved in the scam of mass copying.
Jyoti Choudhary, another member of the unit, urged upon the Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed, to intervene personally in the case and initiate stern action under law against the persons involved in this scam. He further opined that in order to control such happenings the CCTV cameras and mobile jammers should be installed in the examination halls.
Besides, the activists demanded the setting of examination centers at the respective district headquarters so that aspirants of these examinations have not to suffer a lot by means of travelling and spending huge money. It was also suggested that in order to check the menace of copying the flying squad teams comprising of District Commissioner, Tehsil-dars and the Principals of the Government colleges of the respective areas should be constituted.
The Movement also demanded white paper from JKSSB over the whole scam and the action they are going to take against the defaulters.
