Sangam Theatre Group presents plays during Jashn-e-Rajouri

RAJOURI, Mar 29: Directorate of Tourism Jammu in collaboration with District Administration Rajouri organised Jashn-e-Rajouri, a mega cultural event here at PWD Dak Bunglow.
Various cultural troops from J&K UT as well as from parts of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh participated and enthrall the audiences at the event.
Sangam Theatre Group—one of the renowned theatre groups from Reasi presents two short plays ‘Pala Corana Aai Gya’ in Dogri and ‘Betiya to Babul Ki Raniya He’ in Hindi.
On the occasion, Rajesh K Shavan Deputy Commissioner Rajouri was the chief guest. SSP Sheema Nabi Qasba, Sher Singh ADC Rajouri, Balal Rashid CPO Rajouri, Ambika Bali AD Tourism Katra/Rajouri, Alamdar Cultural Officer J&K Academy of Art, Culture and languages Sub Office Rajouri and concerned officials from other departments were also present on the occasion.
The play was written and directed by M Akram Khan. The artists who acted in the play were Inderjeet Singh, Rajat Sharma, Anjali Anand, Sarita Devi, Shah Banoo, Pankaj Sharma, Raja Aamir Khan, Reshav Banathia and Rohit Kumar. The actors generate awareness among people about the COVID-19 and “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” with creative expressions.
Large number of audience youngsters, local and senior citizens of the adjoining areas included BDC Chairperson Rajouri, Durbar Chowdhury, BDC Chairperson Doongi, Riaz Chowdhary, BDC Chairperson Nowshera, Bodh Raj, DDC Member Sunderbani, Rajinder Sharma, DDC Member Kalakote, Anita Thakur, DDC Member Thanna Mandi, Quyoom Mir, President MC Rajouri Mohammad Arif, President MC Thanamandi, Shakeel Mir, Ex Legislators, Sarpanches, Panches and officers from Civil Administration, Police Department and Education Department witnessed the event.
