Sandup assures timely supply of ration to Tibetan community

LEH, Apr 6: Deputy Chairman LAHDC, Leh Tsering Sandup today assured timely supply of essential services and commodities including fresh vegetables to the Tibetan community living in Leh district, in the wakeup of ongoing lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.
In this connection, Sandup convened a meeting of Executive Councillor for Education, Konchok Stanzin, Councillor Korzok Gyurmet Dorjey and Chief Inspector FCS&CA Dept Leh Lamchung Jigmet with the Chief Representative Officer, Sonamling Tibetan Settlement Tsetan Wangchuk at Council Secretariat today morning.
Sandup directed Chief Inspector FCS&CA Department Leh to ensure timely supply of rations in all the TR camps in Leh district in close coordination with CRO Tibetan Settlement. He also directed FCS&CA Department Leh to distribute 5 Kg rice per person and 1 Kg pulses per household free of cost for the period of three months to all BPL, AAP and PHH ration card holders of Tibetan people under Pradhan Mantri Gharib Kalyan package by 20th April. Regarding supply of fresh vegetables, Sandup also assured to provide vegetables to the Tibetan community in coming days.
Discussing other issues of Tibetan community, the Deputy Chairman assured to resolve all genuine problems priority wise and asked CRO to contact with Chairman and Deputy Chairman LAHDC, Leh regarding any emergency.
