JAMMU, Sept 2: J&K High Court Bar Association today urged the Lieutenant Governor to sanction financial help in favour of advocates, who have suffered a lot due to COVID-19 Pandemic. Click here to watch video
The request was made during a function which was presided over by Justice Tashi Rabstan. The function started with the presentation of bouquets to Justice Tashi Rabstan, Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Rajnesh Oswal, Justice Puneet Gupta and Justice Javed Iqbal Wani by the newly elected office bearers of the Association M K Bhardwaj, M P Singh (Palli), Surjeet Singh Andotra, Aditya Sharma and Amandeep Singh.
Advocate General, Assistant Solicitor General of India, Registrar Judicial, Retired Judges, members of the administration and also participated in the function.
Speaking on the occasion, President M K Bhardwaj said that they will work to maintain a cordial relation between the Bench and the Bar for better functioning of judicial system and dispensation of justice.
He requested the Lieutenant Governor and Advocate General for sanction of financial help to the advocates who have financially suffered a lot due to COVID-19 Pandemic. Surjeet Singh Andotra, General Secretary managed the proceedings of the function and Aditya Sharma, Joint Secretary presented the vote of thanks.
