Samphel files papers for Ladakh

JAMMU, Apr 15: Congress candidate Tsering Samphel today filed nomination papers for Ladakh Lok Sabha seat in the office of the Returning Officer (the Deputy Commissioner, Leh).
He has become the first candidate to join the electoral fray from Ladakh seat, which goes to polls on May 7.
There are a total number of 1,59,631 electorates in Ladakh seat, who would cast votes at 531 polling stations.
Leh district with two Assembly segments of Leh and Nobra has 79,042 voters with 274 polling stations while Kargil district with two Assembly constituencies of Kargil and Zanskar has 80,589 voters and 257 polling stations.
