Samphel asks Nizamuddin Markaz attendees to report to DM office

LEH, Apr 1: Commiss-ioner/ Secretary Health UT Ladakh Rigzin Samphel today said that all those Ladakhis who attended Delhi Tablighi Nizamuddin Markaz in the month of March should inform to the District Magistrate Office Leh and visit the hospital for their health check-up.
He said this while addressing a press conference here today. Talking about the sample reports, Samphel said 7 results were received and all are negative of COVID-19. Among the negative reports, one report is of the patient who was the first COVID-19 positive case and his second test report would ascertain the decision of his discharge from the hospital. All the seven negative reports are from Leh district, he added.
“After the COVID-19 outbreak, Lieutenant Governor Relief Fund UT Ladakh has been created and today J&K Bank Ladakh donated Rs 51 lakhs towards the Relief Fund,” said Samphel.
He informed that during the visit of Rapid Reaction Team of Delhi to Kargil district, they inspected the arrangements at COVID-19 dedicated hospital at GNM School Kargil, visited the containment area of Sankoo and with some observations they expressed satisfaction over the overall arrangements.
