Samooh Theatre’s “Bobby” gets ‘best play’ award

JAMMU, Feb 7: Samooh Theatre’s play  “Bobby”, adapted, designed and directed by Ravinder Sharma was awarded as the best play (the best play national award) in Global Theatre Festival organized by Theatre Movement Cuttack, Odisha.
The Theatre Movement is a member of CID (Conseil International De La Danse), an associate member of Estonia and United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
Play Bobby is based on the problems related to nuclear families and working parents. Now-a-days most of the parents work for securing future of their children but due to this they somehow ignore their innocent kids.
On the whole the play revealed that inculcation of moral values and ethics in developing brains of growing children is equally important as to earn money for their safe future.
The play was ably adapted, designed and directed by Ravinder Sharma who has the experience of directing a number of plays for National Festivals.
The artists who performed in the play were Suneedhi Sharma, Samidh, Rohit Chib, Ajay Tamangh, Kanika Sharma, Sandeep Manhas, Gautam Kumar, Aditya Pandita, Pooja Devi and Shubam Singh Nag.
Music was arranged and operated by Sandeep Thakur, Kights by Abhishek Bhat, Make Up by Shammi Dhamir and assisted by Rutvi and Sunagdha.
