Samba police works out theft case, arrests 3

SAMBA, Sept 27: Samba police has worked out a theft case registered at Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana, arrested three accused including receiver of stolen property and recovered stolen items from their possession.
Police said on September 25 a written complaint was lodged at Police Station, Bari Brahmana through JK State Handloom Development Corporation Ltd regarding theft of 03/04 machine pipes by some unknown persons from Himalayan Handloom Wool Factory at SIDCO, Bari Brahmana.
Acting upon the complaint, a case FIR No. 149/2025 U/S 331(3)/305/317(2) BNS was registered at Police Station, Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
Police said during the course of investigation, a police team of PS Bari Brahmana after relentless efforts, apprehended two suspects who upon sustained questioning confessed their involvement in the instant case. The arrested persons have been identified as Raju Singh son of Mani Ram of Panasa district Reasi and Mohd Salim son of Fareed Mohd of Mongri district Udhampur.
Police said on their disclosure, one scrap dealer namely Mohd Piru son of Mohd Mosam of Gangyal district Jammu who was the receiver of stolen items was also arrested.
Further during the interrogation, police has recovered stolen items including four iron machine pipes, five iron angles and three iron rings. The load carrier vehicle bearing Registration Number JK02AG-5812 used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
