Samba police solves blind murder case, arrests 3 youth

SAMBA, Mar 7: Samba Police has worked out the blind murder case of Salinder Kumar alias Sonu son of Bishamber Dass of Bhagatpur Ramgarh whose dead body was recovered in the field near brick kiln yesterday morning by arresting three youth involved in the murder.
The arrested youth are Mangal Dass Bhagat alias Chotu, son of Bishan Dass, Pawan Kumar Bhagat, son of Rashpal Chand and Ramesh Lal son of Krishan Chand all residents of Bhagtpur Ramnagar.
The Police has registered an FIR No 17/2013 under Section 302/34 RPC at Police Station, Ramgarh and investigations started.
The Police said 28 year youth was missing from his residence since the evening of March 5.
The Police team headed by Inspector Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, SHO P/S Ramgarh under the supervision of Israr Khan SSP Samba and Ashok Singh, SDPO Vijapypur launched a thorough investigation.
It said the Police team of Ramgarh Unit and District Special Branch Samba later managed to locate witness who had last seen the deceased in the company of the two accused Mangal Dass Bhagat and Pawan Kumar Bhagat at a Kiryana shop at Bhagatpur Ramgarh from where they have purchased eatables at 7 pm. Further investigations revealed that Ramesh Lal Chowkidar of the brick kiln was also seen leaving from the same spot where the dead body was found.
Police launched a manhunt to arrest the culprits and they were arrested this morning from the villages of Chamey Chak Bishnah and Bhagatpur Ramgarh.
Police said all the three were put to sustained interrogation and by the morning they broke down and revealed that the deceased had stolen and sold the pet dog of Mangal Dass a couple of days back for which Mangal Dass has decided to take revenge from him.
He in a conspiracy with Pawan Kumar Bhagat lured the deceased to have a drink with them at a deserted place where after making him dead drunk, they beat him with pulp till he died due to internal injuries. The third accused Ram Lal had also come to the spot to drink with them and after seeing the two beating Salinder to death he ran away from the spot. He however did not repot the incident to police.
On the confession of two accused the police also recovered the weapon of offence i e cricket wicket in presence of the witness and recovered the statements of all the witnesses.
