SAMBA, May 6: Samba police has seized a truck loaded with wooden logs in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal which was being transported in violation to J&K Forest Produce Transit Rule 2020.
Police said its team headed by SHO Ghagwal during special naka near Jatwal, intercepted a truck bearing Registration Number PB06BH-2502 for checking which was coming from Jammu side. During checking, wooden logs were found laden inside the truck which was being transported in violation to J&K Forest Produce Transit Rule 2020.
The driver of truck has been identified as Yaqoob, son of Noor Mohd of Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, police said.
The truck has been seized and handed over to Forest Department Samba for further legal proceedings, police said.
