SAMBA, May 21: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized seven vehicles including six dumpers across the district which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams headed by SHO, PS Purmandal, SHO PS Ghagwal and in charge of PP Supwal of PS Samba and in charge of PP Rajpura of PS Ghagwal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized five vehicles including four dumpers bearing registration Nos. JK21J-8683, JK02CT-9433, JK21G-7370, JK21H-8683, JK20-2893, JK21H-4848 and one tractor trolley without number which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
These vehicles have been seized by Samba police under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
