Samba police rescues 31 bovine animals

SAMBA, May 23: Supwal police during a naka checking at NHW Barian today rescued 14 bovine animals.
As per reports a team of Supwal police intercepted one truck bearing Registration Number  JK02AE/4925 at NHW Barian.  During search of the vehicle police recovered 14 bovine  animals (Oxen) laden in it.  The driver of the vehicle managed to escaped from the spot.
Meanwhile, Samba police rescued 17 bovine animals and seized one truck bearing registration number JK02AE/4925,  one Tata mobile bearing Number JK0E/3348 and an unregistered motorcycle Hero Honda Splendor from the bovine smugglers. Two bovine smugglers have been arrested who included Ajay Kumar and Mohammed Baru district Samba.
Two different cases were registered under FIR No 138/2018 U/S 188RPC 2/3 PCA Act & 141/2018 U/S 188/ RPC 2/3 PCA Act 3/5 prevention of Damage Act 1958.
The operation was conducted by SHO Samba, Chanchel Singh who was assisted by SI Ranjit Singh and ASI Dhayan Singh along with a team of police.
Both the operations were conducted under the supervision of DySP Headquarter Samba on the directives of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra.
