SAMBA, Sept 4:The Samba Police successfully concluded a football tournament under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Kehli Mandi Ground, Samba, with Kehli Mandi Football Club emerging as the champions after a decisive 3-0 win over Sangwali Mandi Football Club in the final.
The final match witnessed the presence of SSP Samba, along with Additional SP Samba, DySP Headquarters Samba, DySP SOG Samba, SHO Police Station Samba and other police officers and officials.
A total of five teams participated in the tournament, including Kehli Mandi Football Club, Sangwali Mandi Football Club, Gurha Slathian Football Club, Thalora Mandi Football Club and Badori Football Club, representing various areas of District Samba.
During the prize distribution ceremony, SSP Samba presented trophies, football shoes and uniforms to the winner and runner-up teams. Mementos were awarded to the Best Player of the Match and Best Player of the Tournament, along with all participating players from the final and the referees. Refreshments were also served.
