SAMBA, Oct 10: Raghubir Singh @ Rinku @ Dana S/o Pritam Singh R/o Chorali Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu, a habitual and notorious criminal, who is found involved in number of criminals cases not only in District Samba but also in District Jammu was arrested by the Samba Police under Public Safety Act. He was sent to Sub Jail Hiranagar.
Police said few days back, Raghubir along with his associate was arrested by Vijaypur Police and it recovered Katta & sharp edged weapon from their possession, for which Case FIR No. 47/2015 u/s 307/382/341/ 147 RPC, 3/25, 4/25 Arms Act P/S Vijaypur stands registered against him. He has not only created terror among the peaceful citizens but also disturbing the peace and tranquility in the area. He was also forming a gang of criminals and was on his way in expanding it. He was inducing the youth to join his gang who were interested in indulging in criminal activities and could go to any extent in order to spread terror among the people, if he was allowed to go scoot free, police added.
Accordingly, in order to put an end to his activities, Samba Police under the supervision of SSP Samba assisted by SDPO Vijaypur and SHO P/S Vijaypur, compiled all the Police record of Raghubir Singh @ from various Police Stations of District Samba and other Districts, prepared his dossier and got issued his warrant of Public Safety Act from District Magistrate, Samba to prevent him from indulging in prejudicial criminal activities.
After the issuance of detention warrant, the Raghubir Singh was detained under Public Safety Act and lodged in Sub-Jail Hiranagar.
