Samba police arrests notorious thief

SAMBA, Feb 20: Under the guidance of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, police have achieved another success in intensive drive against thieves in the district Samba by arresting notorious thief and solved another theft case by effecting recovery.
Notorious thief has been identified as Bashir Ahmed, son of Mirza Khan of Dhama tehsil, Majalta district Udhmapur presently at Gole Gujral, Gujjar Basti Jammu who had been committing thefts in Samba & Jammu districts, was caught in CCTV cameras as well, but used to escape from the clutches of police every time.
With the arrest of the notorious thief made by SDPO, Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar, SHO, Sunil Sharma and PSI, Shakti Singh under the supervision of Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary, another theft case FIR No 35/2023 u/s 379 IPC of P/S Bari Brahmana has been solved by police and stolen bike has been recovered.
FIR in this case was registered on the complaint of one Mohammad Farooq, son of Shail Din of Sandhi tehsil and district Jammu.
SSP Samba, Benam Tosh said that 36 thieves have been arrested and big modules of thieves have been busted by Samba police in a short period of one & half month only. He said 17 theft cases have been worked out and teams have also been deputed to other states to apprehend absconding notorious thieves.
