SAMBA, Oct 16: Samba police has arrested one drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur and recovered 3.58 grams of heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
Police said a team of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur during vehicle checking at AIIMS Naka Vijaypur, intercepted a Motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK02DN-9327 for its checking. During frisking of the motorcyclist, 3.58 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
Police said the drug peddler identified as Jarnail Singh, son of Surinder Pal Singh of Babiliana Satwari district Jammu has been arrested and contraband item has been seized. The motorcycle has also been seized in the instant case.
A case FIR No. 112/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
The seziure was made under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
