SAMBA, July 6: Samba Police arrested two persons for sale of illicit liquor from Transport Yard SIDCO Chowk here, today and seized 36 nips/pouches of J&K Excise liquor from their possession.
The duo were identified as Manu Kamotra son of Rajinder Kumar age 18 years and Varun Khajuria son of Surinder Kumar age 36 both resident of Aadrah Colony SIDCO Chowk Samba
Police said on the reliable information about the selling of liquor by some person in the area of Transport Yard near SIDCO Chowk, a Police Party of PP SIDCO and team of DSB led by SI Sunil Dutt immediately swung into action and organized raid in the area. They apprehended the two persons involved in the sale of illicit liquor.
The raid were conducted under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs. Samba and overall supervision of Anil Magotra, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba. In this connection a case FIR No. 141/2017 U/S 48/F Excise Act has been registered in P/S Samba and investigation taken up.
