JAMMU, Oct 24: Prathmesh Kumar and Samarth Amla were among eight cueists to qualify for the 2nd round of the Sub Junior Snooker in best of 3 frames knockout tournament, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
A total of 24 players are participating in the tournament.
Sanjeev Gupta, President JKBSA was present at the venue to encourage the budding players.
Rakesh and Askok were markers for the matches which are being played as per BSFI guidelines.
Earlier, in the first match, Prathmesh Kumar defeated Aryaman Mahajan 2-1 by (44-07, 47-56, 52-47), Akshit Sharma got the better of Anant Malhotra 2-0 by (74-54, 57-34), Akshit Gupta drubbed Vansh Gupta 2-1 by (59-66, 51-28, 38-17), Manas Sahwney defeated Saksham Gupta 2-1 (43-33, 20-54, 64-63), Jatin Narang prevailed over Sadhanshu Gupta 2-1 by (40-35, 05-56, 57-32), Himanshu Jaral beat Akshit Gupta 2-1 by (17-45, 75-40, 56-46), Himanshu Sharma trounced Savi Choudhary 2-0 by (55-50, 57-43) and Samarth Amla drubbed Sanam Dogra 2-0 by (49-10, 60-12).
