Salesman injured in Pulwama shop explosion

Srinagar, Mar 2: A salesman was critically injured in an explosion inside a beverage shop late last evening in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police official said the salesman identified as Firdous Ahmad Mir, a resident of Litter in the district, was injured in the blast which damaged the cold drinks shop and caught fire at Chatpora village.  He was immediately evacuated to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment.
The official said the cause of the explosion was not immediately known and police are ascertaining the facts. “A case has been registered in this regard and a probe has been initiated,” he said.
Meanwhile, the injured was later referred to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura for specialized treatment, the police official added.
