JAMMU, Mar 23: Minister for Social Welfare Sakina Itoo said that Government was trying to ensure timely release of honorarium to Anganwari Workers and Anganwari Helpers.
Responding to the point raised by the CPM MLA, Mohd Yousaf Tarigami in the Legislative Assembly, Sakina said, “an amount of Rs 142 crore is pending with the Government of India and efforts are afoot to get the same released”.
She assured the House that the pending honorarium would be given to the Anganwari Workers and Anganwari Helpers well in time.
