Sajjad Lone visits migrant camps, interacts with people

JAMMU, Feb 8: People’s Conference (PC) chairman and MLA Handwara, Sajjad Gani Lone and MLA Kupwara, advocate Bashir Ahmad today visited migrant camps at Jagti, Purkhoo and Buta Nagar and other migrant localities where the displaced people from Kupwara district were putting up to listen their problems.
They, while interacting with migrants assured them that they will highlight their problems at every fora and strive hard for their settlement.
Mr Lone said that his Party fully backs the passage of Shrines and Temples Bill and it will take up the day to day issues of Pandits in Assembly.
Mr Lone assured the displaced Pandits that Party will fully back the community’s demand that return and rehabilitation will be on their terms and conditions.
The PC leaders were accompanied by vice chairman of the Party Bushan Lal Pandita, advocate and other party leaders.
They also complimented the Pandits from the district for casting their vote in favour of their party and assured that they will work for the restoration of peace and total normalcy in Kashmir.
