JAMMU, Mar 16: Amidst razing controversy over alleged misbehaviour with a female medico, the Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Training, Choudhary Lal Singh today sought to clarify that he did not say anything objectionable to the doctor but only asked her to maintain the dress code during the official duty.
Talking to media persons, here today, the minister said that he was fully aware of the self respect of each employee, irrespective of the status but maintaining decorum in the Health Institutions was his priority.
Every employee of Health and Medical Education Department is my family members, irrespective of the position he/she hold but any indiscipline in the health institutions will not be tolerated at any level,” he maintained and asked the medicos as well as Paramedicos to put their sincere efforts in providing best possible healthcare facilities to the people.
Reiterating his direction to all for maintaining cleanliness and dress code in the hospitals, Lal Singh said that if any doctor or Paramedical staff is found guilty, stern action under rules will be initiated against the defaulter. “Dress Code is the identity and dignity of Health employees,” he stressed.
The Minister said that it was his dream to equip the department with modern health care facilities and he was making concerted efforts to provide every hospital latest technology equipments, like dialysis, ultrasound, ventilator, CT Scan, MRI, High Power Electronic Oscillator System etc so that the patients do not have to approach any private health institution in or outside the State. He also asked the doctors to provide people friendly health care service to the patients.
Regarding pendency of salary of some Paramedicos, Lal Singh said that the matter has been taken up at the appropriate level of release of requisite funds to clear the pendency.
