Sahodaya Inter School Declamation Contest held

JAMMU, Oct 10: Stephens International Public School organized Inter School Declamation contest in English here today.
The function started with the traditional lighting of lamp by Satvinder Saini, Director Stephens International Public School along with judges.
The students from 15 CBSE schools of Jammu participated in this competition with great interest, enthusiasm and zeal.
Richa Langer, Surinder Singh Kotwal and Anju Sharma judged the competition.
Two students from each school participated in the competition and one student from each school spoke one topic. The listeners were impressed by the confidence exhibited by the students as they voiced their opinion in strong and powerful words in neck to neck competition where each tried to outshine the other to the best of his or her ability.
The competition was judged on the basis of their introduction, memorization, diction, delivery and content.
The first prize was won by Ananya Khajuria of Stephens International Public School, while the second prize was clinched by Insiya Verma of Heritage School and third position was bagged by Shristi Wali of GD Goenka Public School. The topic was “Education without Moral Value is no Education at all”.
The topic for the 2nd round was “Science is the Engine of Prosperity”, wherein the first position was bagged by Aman Luthra of GD Goenka Public School, while second position was clinched by Aasha and Ronak Singh of Heritage School secured the third position.
Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Kumar Agnihotri, Principal, SIPS said that such competitions help the students to improve their communication skills and learn the new ways of presenting their thoughts.
