SRINAGAR, Nov 1: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ali Mohammad Sagar visited three major old city hospitals including JLNM Hospital Rainawari, Gousia Hospital Khanyar and Maharaj Gunj Hospital and took stock of the medicare facilities being provided to the patients.
Mr. Sagar while visiting various wards of these hospitals interacted with patients, their attendants and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. He directed the hospital administration to ensure arrangements and cleanliness in and around these hospitals.
While visiting JLNM Hospital, Mr. Sagar emphasised on setting up of a special ward for children, which is a long pending demand of the locals. He also inspected ongoing upgradation of the health institute.
During his visit to Maharaj Gunj Hospital, Mr. Sagar assured the release of funds for purchase of dental chair for hospital and construction of community hall in Boniyar in Maharaj Gunj.
The Minister while visiting Gousia Hospital, Khanyar took round of various wards and enquired about the facilities being provided to the patients. He asked the hospital authorities to prepare a detailed report for purchase of Laparoscopy for the hospital.
While interacting with poeple, Mr. Sagar said that present Government under the leadership of Chief Minster, Omar Abdullah is making every effort for the improvement and upgradation of health sector to ensure better health care facilities for the people.
