JAMMU, May 16: Sikh United Front (SUF), Jammu and Kashmir has said that safety and well being of the people of Pak Occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK) is the responsibility of the Indian Government.
While interacting with the media here today, Sudershan Singh Wazir, Chairman of the Sikh United Front, referred to the massive protests going on in PoJK by locals against the oppression and exploitation being done by Pakistani Government and paramilitary forces. He added that it seems that Pakistan has forgotten that PoJK is integral part of India and in past Indian Parliament has passed unanimous resolution twice by declaring PoJK as integral part of India and it would be assimilated back into India anytime sooner.
Wazir said that BJP and NDA Government had passed Citizenship Amendment Act and yesterday in Delhi 300 people hailing from minority communities of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan have been granted citizenship certificate under CAA, while on one side Indian Government is granting citizenship to foreigners but on the other side they are ignoring the people residing in PoJK.
Front leader appealed to the Prime Minister of India, Defence Minister, Finance Minister and Home Minister of India Amit Shah who is currently on two- day visit to Jammu and Kashmir that PoJK is regarded as integral part of India then why the present Indian Government is becoming a mute spectator against the atrocities going on against the people of PoJK who actually are Indians.
He pleaded to Indian Government to call upon the Pakistani ambassador and warn them against the ongoing cruelty on the Indians in PoJK and it must be stopped immediately as this is unacceptable and intolerable for the Indian Government.
While referring to the speeches of Prime Minister of India and Home Minister, who said that PoJK will be taken back as it is an integral part of India. Wazir said we ourselves being the refuge of PoJK, Indian citizen and especially citizen of J&K request Indian Government to put international pressure on Pakistan government until PoJK is assimilated back. It is the responsibility of Indian Government to ensure the well being and safety of PoJK citizens, he added.
