UDHAMPUR, Sept 27: Safai Karamcharis Union has suspended their agitation which they had started five days back on the assurance of Executive officer Municipal Council Udhampur that their genuine demands will be fulfilled.
The Safai Karamcharis had started protest demonstration five days back in support of their demands. The Safai Karamchairs led by their president Mr Shafi today called on the Executive Officer and put their demands before him.
District president INTUC Udhampur, Som Nath also accompanied them.
They demanded regularization of daily wagers on the 84 vacant posts, issuance of uniforms, stopping of break in service, release of Sixth Pay Commission arrears and completion of service books.
