Sadhotra asks Govt to provide ventilator fitted beds in each PHC

JAMMU, Jan 3: Senior National Conference leader and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra said that Government should immediately provide four ventilator fitted beds and 10 oxygen fitted beds in each Primary Health Centre of Jammu and Kashmir in view of WHO alarming report regarding severe 3rd wave of Corona and also Omicron.
While addressing a meeting of prominent workers of Block Bhalwal, which was held under the chairmanship of Subash Chander Bhagat, Block President and was organized by Ch Bagh Ali, Zonal Vice President (Central), Mr Sadhotra reminded that Government had taken a decision to provide oxygen gas cylinder fitted beds in every Panchayat but the same was not implemented.
“Govt should ensure that this decision is implemented in letter and spirit so that immediate oxygen fitted bed is provided to the patient,” he said and also urged the Government to put Omicron and COVID-19 preparedness programme to treat and prevention in public domain so that people could know in case of illness where to go for treatment and to avoid panic. Last time due to huge shortage of ventilator, Oxygen and beds people had suffered too much, he added.
The National Conference leader also appealed people to follow Covid protocol as time to time issued by the Govt and cooperate to fight the pandemic as Omicron alert has been sounded by WHO of 3rd wave. He further asked to start vaccination and booster dose at war footing.
Others, who spoke on the occasion, included Brahma Nand, Vice President Zonal; Raghbir Singh, District President Jammu Rural; Kirpal Chand, Ex Sarpanch and Randhir Singh Jamwal.
