Jammu, Mar 13: Coalition Government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed for overall development of all the three regions of the State especially remote and border areas.
This was stated by Minister for Planning Ajay Sadhotra while addressing public meetings at Channo Chak, Talli Bali Mata, Ranjitpura in Marh Block. Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent people of Channo Chak and adjoining areas apprised the Minister of their grievances and demands.
Sadhotra praised the people of border villages for displaying exemplary courage and commitment in wake of shelling from Pakistan. He appealed the people to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in accomplishing the desired targets and fulfilling the aspirations of the people. The Minister said that equitable development of all the three regions of the State has always remained high on the agenda of the National Conference, adding the people of all the regions are supporting it because of the public friendly programmes and policies adopted by the party.”
Nations’ prosperity is when farmer, labourer, youth and destitute section of the society are happy” said the Minister adding that serve to people will remain always among the priorities of the party. He appealed people to work for strengthening the party in the best interest of the people of the state.
The Minister urged them to remain vigilant against the machinations of the parties like BJP and PDP, the main agenda of which is to polarise the situation and benefit from division in the society. He said their main plank during the ensuing elections will be to promote such an atmosphere. He appealed the people to remain united and frustrate their designs while maintaining age old tradition of mutual brotherhood and communal harmony. He lambasted the PDP and BJP for exploiting the sentiments of innocent and peace loving people of the State for their petty political gains.
The Minister said that creation of new administrative units in the State is a landmark decision, adding that the move will benefit every individual of Marh constituency and the people living in adjacent villages. He said the decision will go a long way in ensuring proper implementation of the developmental plans framed for the villages coming under the jurisdiction of new administrative units.
Sadhotra said that the Government is resolved to improve living condition of the people by making available all basic facilities to in every area of the state. He appealed them to extend their cooperation to the Government in taking forward the developmental projects started in their areas.
Sadhotra also appealed to the people to vote in favour of Madan Lal Sharma , NC-Congress coalition candidate from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency.
