SABSF honours women farmers

JAMMU, Jan 18: On the occasion of Women Farmers’ Day, Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation (SABSF) in a simple but impressive function presented gifts to the women farmers at the border village of Koleon, Suchetgarh sector of Jammu.
Dr Taran Singh, president of the Foundation, said that these gifts are given as the mark of respect to the women farming community which is the back bone of farming in India. He said that they salute the hard working women farmers who not only work hard in fields to grow crops to feed the humans as well as animals but also look after their families with full strength and zeal.
N P Singh, AAP Block president, speaking on the occasion, said that the Foundation has done yeoman’s job by honouring these women farmers who work day and night in the farms and their homes but never get any commendation.
