UDHAMPUR, Feb 20: A Sabar deer died after being hit by a truck in Battal Ballian area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
On being informed by some local people, a Wild Life department team reached the spot and sent carcass of the Sabar deer for post mortem.
According to Mahesh Abrol, Range Officer Wild Life Department, a large number of deer and Sabar deer are found in this area and this sabar deer must have come near the road after getting lost from the forest, due to which it became a victim of the accident.
