‘Rudra Abhishek’ for relief from COVID-19 organised

UDHAMPUR, May 25: Sanskrit scholars here today organized Rudra Abhishek Puja at Trikuta Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion Yagya Acharya, Ajay Bharti said Rudra Abhishek is a ritual performed to adore Shivling by offering holy bath.
“This is one of the most powerful forms of worships in Hinduism and is believed to bless devotees with prosperity and peace and it removes sins of many previous births,” he said.
Bharti appealed to the public to maintain social distancing and stay at home and do the Puja, Archana of Bhagwan Ji.
Moreover, Bharti prayed to Bhagwan Shiv Ji to give relief to the people from deadly Coronavirus pandemic.
On occasion Mahant Rohit Shastri said that essence of this Puja is the holy chant of Sri Rudam from Yajurveda and giving holy bath to Shivling with many materials like Panchamrit, fruit and salad soaked in honey etc.
Pandit Rajeshwar Shastri, Rohit Vishishti, Pandit Vijay Shastri, Pandit Naresh Sharma, Deepak Shastri, Goutam Shastri and other Sanskrit scholar were also present on the occasion.
