JAMMU, Apr 30: Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kathua, Pardeep Manhas inaugurated 7-a-Side Football Tournament, being organized by Sainik Football Club at Sainik Colony, here today.
15 teams drawn from Jammu and one team from Kashmir are participating in this tournament which will run for four days.
In the first match played today, Jodhamal Public School defeated its rival by a solitary goal and the goal scorer was Rohit Singh in 28th minute of the match, while in another match, Param Football Club got the better of MVFA by one goal to nil (1-0). Akarshit was the goal scorer for Param FC in 6th minute of the match.
In third match of the day, Climart Football Club prevailed over Shaheen Football Club by three goals to two via penalty shootout. In the stipulated time, the match ended with (1-1) draw, with Ishan Gupta scoring the goal for Shaheen FC and Saksham netting the equalizer for Climart FC.
